- My life as a writer was destined from the moment I first learned that crayons could be used to tell a story. It was my decision to major in English in college that would ultimately lead me to the path of making money through my ability to write. It is very unlikely that I will ever have cause to regret becoming a writer. Writing is not just making money, it is also telling the stories of life from different perspectives.
There is so much more to me than just being someone who writes. My list of hobbies is long and distinguished but to keep it short I 'll only include the highlights which are: horseback riding, sailing, swimming, knitting, reading, learning new languages (I currently speak 3 rather well), music, computer games, movies, cooking, and camping with friends and family. My many interests have helped me develop a lot of background material and real life experience that assist greatly in my writing.
My work is greatly impacted by various favorite writers that I 've encountered along the way. To show just how varied my reading list really is current authors on top of my"to be read" pile includes names like: Patrician Cornwell, W. E. B. Griffith, David Baldacci, James Patterson, and Janet Evanovich. Of course there have been other greats along the way but these are my current favorites. Recent interests have led me to experience new writers who work in the fields of traditional fantasy, urban fantasy, and contemporary paranormal writing.
